  1. Participants are required to fully understand that the organizer bears no responsibility for overdue, lost, incomplete, disqualified, or unreadable entries.
  2. Unless participants can prove that they have exercised due diligence, they should properly safeguard the information related to the organizer, co-organizers, or other sponsoring supporting companies obtained or held due to this competition. Without written consent from the organizer, this information should not be disclosed or delivered to any third party.
  3. All shortlisted and award-winning prizes will be determined by the judging panel based on the level of the entries. When necessary, the panel may adjust quotas by "adding" or "omitting" and may also decide to modify award names. To maintain the fairness of the competition and meet scoring requirements, the organizer has the right to request detailed original design documents from teams that qualify for the second round and winning teams.
  4. Participants agree that the organizer may publicly present, reproduce, broadcast, display, re-edit, and publish their entries (including images, videos, photos, etc.) for non-commercial purposes. Participants shall not request any form of compensation for the mentioned implementations.
  5. Participants guarantee that they are the original copyright holders of the entries and agree that the organizer has the right to use their entries (including images, videos, photos, etc.) for public presentations, reproductions, broadcasts, displays, re-editing, and publishing for academic or educational promotion purposes. If disputes, lawsuits, or other intellectual property disputes arise due to the entries, participants are solely responsible.
  6. Participants agree that the organizer may include their personal data and related entries in the "RunSpace Innovation Challengeā€ talent matching pool.
  7. All shortlisted and selected teams must cooperate with the organizer for related selection, commendation, subsidies, and media interview coverage, among other tasks. They must also cooperate with the organizer for a follow-up benefit tracking for 5 years.
  8. Participants must ensure that all provided and submitted information and entry documents are true and do not infringe upon the rights (including intellectual property rights) of others. In case of false information or infringement of the rights of others, the organizer has the right to cancel the participant's competition or winning qualifications, reclaim the prize money, trophy, and certificate, and participants agree to bear all legal responsibilities (such as intellectual property disputes, lawsuits, etc.).
  9. If the entry involves corporate, university laboratory, or professorial research resources or intellectual property rights, please obtain consent from the relevant units and individuals before registering for the competition. If there are concerns or disputes related to the entry information that prevent the public disclosure of the information, the team's shortlisting or winning qualifications will be canceled, and the next team in line will be substituted.
  10. In the event of disputes over intellectual property rights or violations of other competition rules, the judging panel will arbitrate, and participants may not object to the arbitration results.
  11. Intellectual property rights of the entries shall belong to the participating teams. To promote this event, participants agree to permanently and freely authorize the organizer for reproduction, publication, or presentation in all activities related to this event. The organizer reserves the right to compile the entries into any form of album for non-profit promotion, and participants undertake not to exercise intellectual property rights or related rights against the organizer.
  12. If participants wish to apply for a patent for the entries, it is recommended that they submit an application to the Intellectual Property Office before participating in the competition to avoid the loss of novelty due to public disclosure during the competition, affecting the application results.
  13. The rights and authorization related to the use of the entries by "Collaboration Partners" will be negotiated and agreed upon separately between individual sponsors and participating teams.
  14. For internal work distribution or equity allocation within participating teams (such as prize collection and distribution), if there are any disputes, they should be handled by the teams themselves and have no relation to the organizer.
  15. Winners are required to pay income tax in accordance with the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China. For individuals residing in Taiwan or profit-making businesses with a fixed place of business in Taiwan, a withholding tax of 10% will be deducted from the prize money or grant, and for individuals who are not residents in Taiwan or profit-making businesses without a fixed place of business in Taiwan, a withholding tax of 20% will be deducted based on the payment amount. The principle of payment by winners shall be in accordance with the relevant tax laws of the current year and may not be objected.
  16. Participants agree that participating in this competition indicates their agreement to abide by the rules of this competition and agree that the judging panel and the organizer have the final decision-making power regarding the actions taken in this competition. The organizer reserves the right to modify these rules.
  17. If participants violate the rules of this competition or other relevant legal regulations, the organizer has the right to cancel the participant's or their affiliated team's qualification for participation or winning.
